Children’s Choir

Our children’s choir helps kids build confidence, and lasting friendships through music they love.

New West Music’s Children’s Choir

We help young children come out of their shell and find their unique voice.

Our choir encourages young voices to sing with joy and confidence in a supportive environment. We teach students to develop proper vocal techniques while exploring fun repertoire and musical games.

Whether your child loves to sing around the house or dreams of standing on a big stage, our children’s choir group is the perfect place for them to start.

Open to children ages 6 – 12.

Choir Lessons in New Westminster

A local school built around your family’s schedule.

Families in New Westminster often balance school, extracurriculars, and busy schedules. That’s why we focus on consistent weekly lesson times and a clear learning structure.

We work with students across New Westminster, including Uptown, Downtown, Queensborough, and nearby Burnaby, Coquitlam, and Surrey.

Many students come to lessons after school, so we keep scheduling consistent week to week to make it easier for families.

Common Questions

Things parents ask us all the time.

Does my child need singing experience?
+
Not at all. Choir is one of the best starting points for beginners — the group setting makes learning easier and less pressured. If your child loves to sing (even just around the house), they’re ready.
What if my child is shy?
+
This is the most common thing we hear — and it’s exactly why choir works so well. Being part of a group lowers the stakes. We consistently see shy kids become the ones who volunteer to sing solo.
Is there a performance at the end?
+
Yes! We hold student showcases twice a year — spring and winter. Families are invited to watch students perform what they’ve been working on. It’s one of the highlights of the year.
Can we try a class before committing?
+
Yes — reach out and we’ll arrange an intro session so your child can experience the class firsthand. No pressure, no commitment. We’d rather you feel confident before signing up.
