Chad Kamer is an experienced guitar and ukulele instructor with over 15 years of teaching experience and 25 years of playing experience. He holds a Bachelor of General Music in Guitar (BMus) from the University of British Columbia, where he developed a strong foundation in performance, music theory, and composition.
Throughout his teaching career, Chad has taught students of all ages, from complete beginners to advanced players. Some of his students have gone on to write, record, and perform original music with bands. He teaches a wide range of styles, including blues, rock, folk, classical and fingerstyle, as well as introductory jazz and flamenco, and also offers instruction in ukulele.
Chad’s teaching style is rooted in adaptability, with lessons carefully tailored to each student’s learning style, goals, and pace. With expertise in music theory and composition, he helps students not only play their instrument, but also understand how music works—empowering them to analyze, write, and create their own music with confidence. In addition to teaching, Chad is an active musician who has written, composed, and recorded original music, both as a solo artist and with bands.
